Sustainable Farming
Working on an £2.4 million ESPRC grant, our work has focussed on enhancing the adoption of Net Zero farming practices. Through extensive consultation with over 400 UK farmers, we developed a comprehensive motivational model addressing key psychological factors influencing behavior change, such as confidence, incentives, and community influence. Our findings highlight the significant role of personal and community-driven initiatives in overcoming barriers to sustainable agriculture. This research contributes directly to global climate goals by providing policymakers with insights to design targeted interventions that promote sustainable farming and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
